CV/Bio
Paul Di Zefalo was born in New York, went to Art and Design High School in Manhattan, and afterwards, Parsons School of Design. He graduated with a major in Graphic Design and Advertising. There he also developed a fervent interest in fine art painting, which he owes to the valuable lessons of his instructors, Paul Brach, and John Kacere. Finishing school he went to work in advertising, and as a graphic design art director. Subsequently, he earned a degree from Jersey City State College in Art Education to become a public school teacher in New Jersey.
Throughout his life he has made art, and has been showing his work in public venues, having had solo exhibits at the Jersey City Museum iin Jersey City, NJ, and Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ.
He was twice recipient of a Fellowship Grant in Painting from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, and has been included in a Statewide New Jersey Arts Annual Fine Arts Exhibition. Among jurors who have selected his work in competitions are: Ted Mann, Guggenheim Museum, Patterson Sims, Whitney Museum, Henry Geldzahler, New York City Commissioner of Cultural Affairs.
